Despite suffering a torn ACL early last month, Zach LaVine remains positive that he can recover from it and get back to 100 percent quickly.

The Minnestora Timberwolves shooting guard recently made his first public appearance after undergoing surgery to repair his knee. He recalled the play where he got hurt to Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press via the Star Tribune, and also shared what he's been doing to regain the strength in his knee.

“You guys have seen me land like that hundreds of times. When I went back and looked at my reaction, I felt like I sprained my knee or jammed my knee a little bit. Just got up and walked away. I felt fine.”

“Going out here like I'm going to get 500 shots. Instead, I'm doing 500 leg lifts. It's the same difference. Everything's been positive with me. I'm just focused.”

LaVine made it clear that he vows to return better than ever as he has been trusting the process and his doctors. He also admitted that he's distancing himself to anyone around him that is showing any s of negativity.

“I don't have any negative thoughts in my mind. If there are negative people around me I just try to distance myself from that. The main thing is to stay positive and trust the process. I know I'm going to go at it 100 percent.”

“I have full faith in the doctor that helped me out and everybody on the training staff helping me day-in and day-out. I know where I want to get to and I know where I want to be still in my career.”

With another season under their belts, the Timberwolves' young core have gained more experience which could help speed up their maturity. They have a very bright future and have already showed glimpses of their potential over the course of the season. With their impressive game of late and LaVine's scheduled return in time for training camp, there is a lot of optimism in Minneapolis that the Wolves will become one of the NBA's teams of the future.
