James Harden is known by NBA fans as “The Beard.” The reason is of course because of the huge fluffed facial hair he sports, but it's just for looks and nothing more – most of the time.
When the Houston Rockets faced the Golden State Warriors Thursday night, Harden completed a tough layup late in the third quarter before turning around to a surprise.
That surprise was Zaza Pachulia‘s elbow hitting him in the face, having his head whipped back and forth before pushing it off.
That exchange lent itself to some comedy as TNT commentator Kevin Harlan explained the sequence in a classic Harlan-ism.
“Harden muscled his way up, and then Pachulia got his elbow stuck in the beard.”
