Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton is among those impressed with the play of wide receiver John Ross thus far this season.

While the Bengals have struggled out of the game, Ross has undoubtedly been the biggest highlight in the first year of Zac Taylor's tenure.

Ross has racked up 11 receptions for 270 yards and three touchdowns, and he's already surpassed the 210 yards receiving he had a season ago.

Here's what Dalton had to say in a press conference about Ross's contributions this season, courtesy of Pro Football Talk.

“He’s got a great understanding of this offense, and he’s probably doing some different things than he was doing in years past,” Dalton said. “His attention to all the details has been on point, and he’s playing with confidence. He knows he’s going to make these plays, and I think it’s a belief in himself and that’s shown in the way he’s played so far.”

Everyone was curious about how Taylor's offense would benefit Ross and Tyler Boyd, and we're certainly seeing the advantages of playing in a creative system.

Of course, while it's great to have an improved offense, Cincinnati will need to make more strides on defense if it wants to earn a respectable amount of wins this season.

With Ross clearly playing the best football of his NFL career, there's enough talent on offense for the Bengals to find some victories if they can play better defense.
