Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow recently discussed a number of topics in an interview on the Full Send Podcast, including Tom Brady's unprecedented retirement situation.

Burrow was asked what he thought of Brady's original retirement and his return.

“I mean did anybody actually think he was going to be retired?”

The podcast hosts refuted Burrow's claim by saying they did think he was going to stay retired to which the Bengals QB replied, “You guys gotta know better than that.”

Joe Burrow then expounded on his confident Tom Brady take.

“He's playing way to well to give it up right now,” Burrow declared. “I think he wanted to shut down the conversation, because if he didn't announce his retirement, everyone would be talking about, ‘is he retiring? Is he not retiring?' So I think he went ahead and did it to get everyone off his back so he can go think about it.”

Joe Burrow took the league by storm this past season after leading the Bengals to the Super Bowl. But Tom Brady still clearly has what it takes to play in the NFL after posting another remarkable individual campaign while leading the Buccaneers to another postseason run.

There are some who have called Joe Burrow the next Tom Brady. That is an extremely bold claim, but the former LSU standout undeniably has one of the brightest futures of any young quarterback in the league right now.

Joe Burrow is aiming for an even better season with the Bengals in the 2022-2023 NFL season.
