Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert suffered another season-ending injury in 2018 and wants nothing more than to return to his Pro-Bowl form from his 2015 season. Eifert broke his ankle in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, and it was a huge blow to the Bengals offense. Cincinnati Bengals senior writer Geoff Hobson spoke with Eifert and the tight end stated.

“I’ll be back to where I was. No question.”

Eifert is a valuable member of the Bengals offense and believes that he has made a big impact when he's been healthy. Upon his hopeful return, Eifert knows his injury history has been frustrating for his teammates as much it has been for him, but he knows his team wants him back out on the field.

“I would think they would want me back. I would say there is frustration with all my injuries. But I think it’s pretty obvious how the offense runs when I’m in there. Pretty good.”

Eifert has a positive attitude in regards to his numerous injuries over the years and knows that the opportunity to play in the NFL is nothing to take for granted. The Bengals 6'6″ tight end has played in 14 games over the last three seasons and has only started in two of those games. Eifert knows a lot of people are labeling his injury history as “unlucky,” but he knows he is fortunate enough just to have chance to play.

“They say it’s unlucky. But I’m pretty lucky. Just to be here. You have to keep it in perspective. I’m lucky. I’ve been put in some good positions in my life.”
