New England Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty has never been afraid to speak his mind when it comes to important issues that impact the NFL. This time around, McCourty is expressing his concern over beginning this year's installment of NFL training camp, which is currently scheduled to start in a few weeks, in a safe manner with the “coronavirus” pandemic still raging throughout the United States.

Because more than a few important questions remain unanswered, it hardly comes as a surprise that a prominent player that plays for a prominent organization is already speaking up about such a matter.

Of course, the NFL is continuing to ramp up toward a season that will no doubt be like no other in the history of the league. Because of the “coronavirus” pandemic, things will surely look a lot different in 2020, with training camp serving as the first hurdle in what could be a long line of obstacles. It is also worth noting that the NFL will have one of the more difficult times in getting back to play as professional football requires a deep roster and a slew of coaches and other personnel that might make things a bit complicated for some franchises throughout the season.

As for McCourty and the Patriots from a football perspective, New England is now getting ready for its first season in 20 years without current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady under center, which could make the team's offseason that much more difficult to navigate with the month of July officially underway.
