The New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton, and Chicago Bears made history on Sunday afternoon. Two NFC franchises clashed on CBS
and the famed children's network Nickelodeon. With the Saints ultimately proving victorious over the Bears, it was only right that New Orleans head coach Sean Payton received a Nickelodeon-styled “Gatorade bath” after his team's latest win.

Thanks to Nickelodeon's involvement in the NFL's first ever “super wild card weekend,” Payton was appropriately “slimed” to conclude the Saints' very successful Sunday.

Payton and his Saints dominated the game from start to finish despite holding a narrow 7-3 halftime lead over the Bears.

Even so, the Saints really began to pour it on in the second half as New Orleans would go on to win the game by the score of 21-9.

The Bears' lone touchdown came as time expired, however, which notably came on a possession that began at the team's own one-yard line as Saints quarterback Drew Brees came about six inches away from yet another touchdown for New Orleans.

Now that the Saints have defeated the Bears and got Payton slimed, New Orleans will begin looking ahead to the divisional round and a NFC South battle against the rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The aforementioned Brees will be matched up against longtime New England Patriots quarterback and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Tom Brady, who is currently in the midst of his first season as a member of the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers defeated the Washington Football Team on Saturday evening prior to the Saints advancing on Sunday afternoon.

While the Saints prepare for the Bucs next Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams will meet the Green Bay Packers in the other NFC Divisional Playoff Game on Saturday. Sean Payton will need to beat Tom Brady for a third time this season if he is going to return to the NFC Championship Game.
