It's been a tale of two weeks for the Boston Celtics. In the team's last three games, the Celtics are a perfect 3-0. The week before that, however, the team went winless in three games. Despite the team's struggles in the month of January (7-6 for the month so far), it seems like the Celtics are getting a bit of their mojo back in recent games.

However, whether or not this team in its current form can win an NBA championship is up for debate. The team certainly has weaknesses and they can be addressed. I'm not saying for certain that Boston needs to make a move at the deadline but, if they want to take that route, there are a few options that could take the team to the next level.

Davis Bertans

Wizards-Davis-Bertans

The Boston Celtics are one of the worst bench scoring teams in the league. The team also could use some floor spacing in the frontcourt. Washinton Wizards power forward Davis Bertans would provide that.

Given heavy minutes on a Wizards squad that needs it, Bertans has enjoyed the best season of his career. The 6-foot-10 stretch four is averaging a career-high 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Most impressive, Bertans is shooting nearly 43 percent from beyond the arc on nearly nine three-point attempts per game.

Bertans likely wouldn't as many minutes in Boston as he does in Washington but he would provide the Celtics with another scorer off the bench besides Marcus Smart and Enes Kanter. The Celtics are one of a few teams that have reportedly shown interest in Bertans and his expiring contract makes him expendable for the Wizards.

Alec Burks

Warriors, Alec Burks

Another player to fix Boston's bench woes, Burks is having a stellar season for the Golden State Warriors. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard is scoring nearly 16 points per game while adding 4.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

As much potential as players like Romeo Langford, Carsen Edwards, Javonte Green, and Grant Williams have, the Celtics would absolutely benefit in adding a veteran guard to come off the bench.

Burks can score and is a solid defender who could pair well with Marcus Smart in the second unit. He's not and likely never will be an All-Star caliber player but he's the kind of player every championship team needs and one that would look good in Celtics green.

A few weeks ago, adding a big man seemed like an obvious need for Boston. However, with the recent strong play of Kanter, Daniel Theis, and Robert Williams returning soon, a scorer off the bench should probably take precedence.
