Tom Brady has been spectacular at taking care of the football this season, finally throwing his first pick this past Sunday. The 49ersEric Reid is hoping for more this coming weekend.

The New England Patriots are making the trip to Santa Clara for a matchup with the 1-8 49ers, and Reid is preparing himself for the nearly impossible task of stopping Brady. Through five games, Tom has already compiled 1,635 yards and 12 touchdowns. San Francisco's secondary has struggled all year, so it appears to be a mismatch.

That hasn't changed Reid's mindset. The former Pro Bowler hopes to intercept the Patriots' signal caller on Sunday, but as he discussed the topic with the media, he fumbled over his words. It led to one of the funnier comments of the season.

From Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group:

Eric Reid on Tom Brady: If I can get my hands on one of his balls, that will be huge. (Pause.) That didn't sound very good. Don't quote that.

It's obvious what Reid was trying to say, but it came out much differently. Luckily for us, Inman proceeded to record the quote despite Reid's request for the media not to do so.
