This year's team is averaging 1.5 rushes of 10+ yards per game. They've never done worse than 2.94 (2020) under Shanahan and have twice been at 4 or above (2019, 2023).

#49ers are averaging 5 explosive plays per game (10+ yard runs/20+ yard passes). Since Kyle Shanahan arrived in 2017, they've never done worse than 6.38 big plays per game (2017, 2020). In 2023, that number was 8.76, the best by any team in Shanahan's tenure save for the 2019 Ravens (8.88).

Dom Puni, Renardo Green and Skyy Moore were back at practice today after sitting out Wednesday's session. Also, unlike last Thursday, Mac Jones was throwing throughout the start of practice, an indication his oblique issue is improving.

The 49ers need to get Jordan Watkins and Isaac Guerendo involved on offense. They’re two of the only home run hitters on the team.

49ers GM John Lynch on @KNBR said WR Brandon Aiyuk was working out on the field about five minutes earlier. "He’s getting closer. He is getting closer. And I can see that each week. He’s better today than he was last week at this time. That’s all positive. That’s the update."

#49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) was limited in today. I can tell you he had *HIGH ENERGY* in the early portion of practice reporters watched. G Dominick Puni is new to the injury report this week. He injured knee in preseason but hadn't been on the report since Week 2.

Looks like Puni was actually a DNP today rather than limited.

Rachaad White averaged just 2.1 yards per carry against the Fred-Warner-less 49ers defense in the second half.

I asked about IG's demotion on KR: Shanahan: "We just wanted to give B-Rob an opportunity. Nothing overly bad for Isaac to lose it or anything, but nothing overly good to keep it. So we wanted to give someone else a shot, see how it went and something we'll keep evaluating.”

With Skyy Moore (ankle) not practicing, rookies Jordan Watkins and Junior Bergen handled punt-return duties. Shanahan said Moore had a chance to play Sunday (he was running on a side field), but returns could be how Watkins gets his first NFL snaps. Bergen is on the psquad.
