The Chicago Bulls seem unable to catch a break in spite of their pursuit of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. A game after getting shooting guard Dwyane Wade back on the court, the Bulls can likely find themselves without point guard Rajon Rondo for the rest of the season.

According to head coach Fred Hoiberg, his wrist injury was deemed “significant” and didn't sound too optimistic for Wednesday's season finale against the Brooklyn Nets, who took a close victory from them on Saturday, according to Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago.

In his absence, Chicago will roll with Jerian Grant at point guard while trotting Wade and cornerstone Jimmy Butler to seal their ticket to the postseason.

The Bulls have their fate in their own horns, as they are tied with the Miami Heat for the last playoff slot in the Eastern Conference — and with the Indiana Pacers a game ahead, should they slip, they'd have tiebreakers over both teams.

The Windy City team faces a very favorable schedule in their last two games, leading the Orlando Magic 64-37 at halftime and facing the Nets on a day's rest for the last game of the regular season.

Despite having relatively friendly matchups against two of the worst five teams in the league, underestimating either of these opponents could cost the Bulls a postseason bid if not taken with the proper seriousness.
