Th Atlanta Hawks have signed free agent point guard Jarret Jack for the veteran's minimum as reported by Shams Charania of the Vertical:

This is a great pick up for the Hawks who will now have a locker room leader and a very serviceable backup to their young starting point guard, Dennis Schroeder. He took over the reigns of former all-star Jeff Teague who was traded to the Indiana Pacers.

Jack played 32 games last season with the Brooklyn Nets averaging a very decent 12.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game, but was waived on June 30. He missed the majority of the season due a torn ACL but underwent a knee reconstruction surgery earlier this year.

The 12-year veteran will be joining the newly retooled Hawks as his 8th team. Atlanta has recently added Dwight Howard to their roster after losing former starting center Al Horford to the Boston Celtics in free agency.
