The additions of Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah were tremendous for the New York Knicks, but Kristaps Porzingis sees a work in progress this season.

Porzingis believes the expectations for the team were raised this season, but tells ESPN's Ian Begley that it may take awhile before seeing the team peak.

“It's going to take us some time to figure this whole thing out. It doesn't have to be in a week. It takes time.”

Due to Rose tending to rape charge allegations, and Noah recovering from injury, the Knicks' starters have yet to play any minutes together.

Porzingis feels Rose is catching on with the team's new offense pretty quickly, but isn't so quick to declare everything is running on full cylinders.

“I don't want to put too much pressure on us that we're going to be really good right away. It's going to take some time.”

The Knicks will have to set the tone early by at least giving a noteworthy performance in their season opener versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Porzingis worked all summer to expand his game, and he will be ready if no one else is.
