With a new head coach sitting at the helm, the Los Angeles Lakers can now focus on the adjustments they need to make on their roster ahead of the 2022-23 season. According to reports, LA is now dipping into the free agency pool as it looks to add some depth to its squad for the new campaign.

According to ESPN's NBA insider Dave McMenamin, the Lakers recently held a workout session for free agents, which incidentally, was headlined by Kevin Durant's ex-Brooklyn Nets teammate in Langston Galloway:

The Lakers held a free agent workout on Tuesday, sources told ESPN. Participants included Langston Galloway, Kyle Guy, Alize Johnson, Louis King and D.J. Wilson. LAL could have as many as seven open roster spots to fill this summer on its 15-man roster.

Galloway played with KD last season under a 10-day deal with the Nets. This was in December last year. In January, the 6-foot-1 combo guard signed another short-term deal with the Milwaukee Bucks to play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co.

As the above report states, the Lakers could be looking at no less than seven roster spots to fill for next season, and they already have a long list of free agents to choose from. Needless to say, we could be looking at a very different LA squad in 2022-23.
