The weekend is upon us and for those of us who prefer to stay home and Netflix and chill, there's a few new shows to watch on the streaming platform.

We have the second season of the adult animated action fantasy series Blood of Zeus. For crime buffs, you have the docuseries Cooking Up Murder: Uncovering the Story of César Román. For reality show lovers, there's also The Ultimatum: South Africa.

What's New to Netflix this Weekend (May 10-12, 2024)

May 10

  • Blood of Zeus, Season 2 – The show is set in a mythical version of ancient Greece. It revolves around Zeus' demigod son, Heron, who is trying to save both Olympus and Earth. The series doesn't claim to be canon, instead these are stories “lost to history.” It features automata, demons, giants, gods and mythical mounts.

  • Pokémon Horizons: The Series, part 2 – Two young adventurers, Liko, with partner Pokémon Sprigatito, and Roy are on a quest to new lands, solve ancient mysteries, and new Pokémon and Poké Balls. They'll also meet a mysterious group called the Rising Volt Tacklers.
  • The Ultimatum: South Africa – If you don't know what a six-way partner-swap is, you'll need to watch this show. The seemingly complicated nature of the relationships on the show will have wild attractions and tearful betrayals. Participants will need to choose the people they want to love and leave in this social experiment.

May 11

Kevin Hart: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor – Comedy's luminaries have come together to fête and roast recipient Kevin Hart as he accepts one of the most prestigious honors in the entertainment industry, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

May 12 – Unfortunately, no new shows are coming out this Sunday.

That's six new shows to watch on Netflix so you'll have a busy weekend. There's animation, true crime, wildlife, dating reality and a roast. Plenty for everyone.
