Despite an incredible effort from Paul George (37 points, five rebounds, three steals and five 3-pointers) the Indiana Pacers still came up short in their hotly-contested matchup against the Boston Celtics Wednesday night, losing out with a final score of 109-100.

George was understandably disappointed after the game which may have been the reason behind his decision to praise the opposing team.

“If you look at their roster, everybody knows what to expect out of everybody,” PG told Jay King of Mass Live. “There's never a moment where a guy is like, ‘What kind of shot are you taking?' or ‘what are you doing?' They are beyond that.”

The four-time All-Star was involved in several rumors during the February trade window, with Boston emerging as one of his possible destinations, and these remarks added further fuel to the flame.

George’s situation in Indiana is volatile as he seems to be a perpetual trade candidate. Although team president Larry Bird recently denied their desire to move the 26-year-old, many still believe that the 6-foot-9 forward will eventually leave the Pacers sooner or later.

For the time being though, PG seems focused on the task at hand. He appears to be fully committed to the team’s cause and believes that the Pacers should strive to replicate the type of team chemistry exhibited by the C’s.

“And that's the chemistry we're trying to make,” added George. “To where when guys are playing we're comfortable with their play style and we know what they're going to do within our offense. We've got a little way to go.”

Right now the goal for the side from The Hoosier State will be to secure their playoff berth. The Pacers are currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, with several other teams on their heels still fighting for playoff contention.
