With the likes of Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and LeBron James getting much of the attention when it comes to willing their teams to victories, Paul George has flown under the radar and has proven that he is the most clutch player in the NBA today.

While the aforementioned superstars may take more shots when games are on the line, the Indiana Pacers‘ forward owns the highest percentage for shots made with less than five minutes left and with leads less than five points.

The statistics compiled by NBA.com also supports George's excellence during clutch moments as it showed that he shoots 56.3% from the field and 46.7% from 3-point range given the same conditions.

It it noticeable that the 26-year-old Fresno State product can still bring his percentage higher if he shoots more near the basket with layups or dunks. However, it will be hard to argue his decision to shoot from the perimeter and even from beyond the three-point arc as he is making his shots from there with a lot of efficiency.

With the Pacers tweaking their rotation lately and making Monta Ellis their sixth man to provide more firepower off the bench, the team is hoping they will need their All-Star small forward's end game skills less in the future,

The Pacers have recently found their groove and are in the midst of a three-game winning streak since inserting Glenn Robinson III in their starting lineup. With their current success and George's proven reliability in late-game situations, it won't be surprising if his team can extend their winning roll and make a stronger push for a playoff spot as the season progresses.
