Coming into this season, expectations were high for the Indiana Pacers after adding key pieces to their roster. Many think of them as contenders in the Eastern Conference, but so far after seven games, the team has underwhelmed, currently with a losing 3-4 record following their loss on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets.
The team's All-Star forward, Paul George, could not contain his frustrations and talked about the lack of chemistry and trust the Pacers players have with one another.
Paul George: "We’re just not tied together. We’re allowing the home teams to have the advantage of being home."

Paul George: “We’re all out of whack. There’s no trust, there’s no chemistry, there’s no belief. We’re kind of just lifeless right now.”

Newcomer Thaddeus Young added to George's statement that they have tougher teams to play against, which does not serve them well looking ahead.
Thad Young: "The crazy thing is we haven’t really played the toughest teams. When those teams come, they’re not going to play around.”

If there's any good news for the Pacers, it's still very early on in the season. The team still has 75 games left and a lot of time to correct their mistakes and build chemistry.
With an experienced coach in Nate McMillan and veteran players in the lineup, it won't be surprising if they're able to turn things around and still be in the running for the playoffs.
