Following the Indiana Pacers‘ loss against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, Paul George and coach Nate McMillan went on a rant against the officials. They both put the blame on the referees for the lack of calls they received especially — in the third quarter when they were out-shot 28-10 on free-throw attempts.

The 6-foot8 small forward made it clear that he is tired of referees continuously not calling falls against his team and even went as far as saying that the league may be in favor of other teams. McMillan on the other hand called the res out out for not giving the Pacers enough respect, saying the other team got away with a lot of grabbing, especially on George.

Not surprisingly, George and his head coach now have received word from the league that they both have been fined for their public criticism.

It will be interesting to see how George and McMillan conduct themselves after blasting the officials and getting fined by the league office. Even if there was a big disparity on the free-throw attempts in their last game, the loss was really brought about by tentativeness on the defensive end.

Both George and McMillan hope that their public statements serve as a wake-up call to the team moving forward.
