After securing a huge win at Madison Square Garden over Drew McIntyre in front of some 15,000 passionate wrestling fans, you'd think Seth Rollins would want to celebrate the moment on his own, enjoying as the crowd sang along to his war hymn before returning to the back to celebrate his accomplishment with a few friends and a few more drinks, but on December 26th, the “Visionary” was thinking otherwise.

No, on the three-year anniversary of the passing of Brodie Lee, the former TNT Champion in AEW and one-time member of the Wyatt Family in WWE, Rollins used the opportunity to deliver a beautiful speech to the assembled crowd, asking fans to lift up their phones and pay tribute to the both Brodie and Bray in the most famous arena in the world.

“We are packed from the front row to the nosebleeds in the most famous arena in the world. Thank you, Madison Square Garden,” Seth Rollins told the MSG crowd via Fightful. “There's just one more thing I gotta do tonight. Today is the twenty-sixth of December. A few years back, my good friend, our good friend Brodie Lee passed away. I miss him. Just a few months ago, we lost Windham Rotunda as well. But earlier tonight, when the nights went down, I saw some fireflies out there in the Garden. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man. So look, here's the deal. They're kicking me out of here, we got a curfew. But I'm not leaving this building until you guys light this place up with those fireflies and you sing my d**n song so loud Brodie and Windham can hear you, baby. Let's go, New York. I love you forever.”

Would anyone have held it against Rollins if he hadn't acknowledged the passing of Lee? No, while WWE has sent both birthday wishes and condolences to Lee and his family on social media since his death in December of 2020, it has always been to “Jonathan Huber, who WWE fans know as Luke Harper.” Rollins, however, came up on the indie scene like other current performers at the top of the WWE Universe, like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and crossed paths with Lee under that moniker as they were all traveling the roads looking to latch on with a top promotion during their formative years. That bond has clearly left an indelible mark on Rollins and is why he will continue to sing his fallen friend's graces whenever afforded the chance, even if it's just on a house show.

Rey Mysterio gives Seth Rollins props for helping his son.

Speaking of Seth Rollins being a genuinely good guy, the “Revolutionary” recently received some pretty incredible praise none other than WWE Hall of Famer Seth Rollins, but not for the reason you might think.

That's right, stopping by K100 with Konnan, Mysterio didn't complement Rollins for his wrestling, or his workload, or even for handling himself like a true champion but instead for helping out his son, Dominik Mysterio, by watching his matches and giving him notes when they are over.

“There's certain talent that sits by the monitor and kind of just views the matches as they're going along, and there is a respected criticism by that certain talent that's watching and one of the guys that likes to sit down and critique matches is Seth Rollins,” Rey Mysterio shared via Wrestling Headlines. “And he'll sit down but if you come back from your match and ask Seth, especially if he was sitting down by the monitor, ‘Aye, what'd you think of the match? What do you think I could do better?' He would critique you in a good way, and that would help you out to learn how to grow. Dominik (Mysterio), I believe, is one of those guys, when he comes back, you know, gets critiqued by Seth because he always sees Seth sitting down by the monitor before he walks out and when he comes back. So that's good criticism.”

On-screen, Rollins and “Dirty” Dom don't like each other one bit, as they are on opposite sides of the babyface-Judgment Day that played out in a major way at WarGames. Behind the scenes, however, it's encouraging to learn that Rollins is willing to spend some of his time watching the matches of young stars like Mysterio and giving them some much-needed advice using his wealth of wrestling experience. Having a World Heavyweight Champion like Rollins who is willing to actually give back to the business is a big reason why he's arguably the top guy in all of WWE, even if performers like Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and even Cody Rhodes routinely garner more headlines.
