There is plenty of speculation regarding the Chicago Bears' player personnel going into the offseason. As a result, the Bears will need breakout performances from those still firmly on the roster.

Among them is wide receiver Kevin White. Despite an injury-plagued start to his career, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had high praise for White's potential in the 2018 NFL season during an appearance on WSCR, per Colleen Kane the Chicago Tribune:

“Kevin is working really hard to get back, and I’ve got a lot of faith in what he’s going to be able to bring to the table this year,” Trubisky said. “He’s looking good while we’re throwing together out here. And we’ve just got to continue to put in that work, and I know he’s busting his tail to really do big things this year.”

It has been a rocky start out the gate for White, to say the least. The Bears made a heavy investment after taking him with the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, Chicago has seen little to no return on his productivity due to a rash of injuries early on.W

White has registered just 21 receptions for 193 yards in five games over the last three seasons. Needless to say, Chicago is hoping this will be the year he breaks through as the playmaker they hoped he would be. White has gotten off to a solid start by building chemistry Trubisky, who will also be looking to prove himself as a legitimate threat under center. Fortunately, it seems both players have nowhere else to go but up at this point given the current state of the franchise.
