The Denver Broncos lost to the Atlanta Falcons by a final score of 23-16 on Sunday, but the game wasn't much of a concern afterward. That's because head coach Gary Kubiak was taken in an ambulance in a hospital, about 45 minutes after the clock expired.

As Arnie Stapleton of The Associated Press reports, Kubiak was checked into the hospital with flu-like symptoms as a precaution.

He's experienced a health scare while roaming the sidelines in the past, too. In 2013, Kubiak endured a “mini-stroke” at halftime of a game during his stint with the Texans. He returned to his coaching duties a little over a week later.

Luckily, there is some good news on the matter this morning. From ESPN's Adam Schefter:

Broncos' HC Gary Kubiak feeling better this am, still resting at local hosptial. Remains uncertain whether he will coach Thursday vs SD.

With the short week, a return for Kubiak seems unlikely. There's no need to push it; unless his symptoms have completely subsided, coach Kubiak should sit this one out.
