The Arizona Cardinals made headlines with the acquisition of former Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. It seems they may opt to take an aggressive approach in the 2020 NFL Draft as well.

The Cardinals currently own the No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, they are reportedly open to trading back:

Another team in the top 10 expressing interest in trading down: the Cardinals at No. 8. They currently don't have a second-round pick (DeAndre Hopkins trade). Could be a spot someone jumps up for one of the top O-linemen … or a QB.

Arizona being willing to trade down this year may come as a surprise. After all, they have managed to shore up some serious firepower on the offensive side of the ball in recent years with the arrival of Hopkins, quarterback Kyler Murray and running back Kenyan Drake. It would only make sense that they would want to be one of the teams that secures a top offensive line prospect in this year's draft.

Despite the talent on offense, the Cardinals still have some major voids to fill on the defensive side of the ball. Finding an elite prospect to pair with either Chandler Jones on the edge or Patrick Peterson in the secondary should also be a priority. However, it seems general manager Steve Keim is confident that they will still be able to find an immediate impact player if they trade down while netting some more draft capital to work with.
