Over the last several days, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been making some cryptic (yet not-so-cryptic) Instagram posts about his current status with the Raiders.

With trade chatter swirling around Carr, he has been posting photos of himself playing against teams that are in need of a quarterback, such as the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers.

It seems pretty clear what angle Carr is hitting here, even if he isn't being entirely up front about it.

But if anyone knows Carr, it's his older brother, David, who had an extended (but not as successful) career as an NFL signal-caller.

And apparently, David thinks his younger sibling is just having some fun with the situation:

“His son’s favorite movie is Trolls. He’s just having fun. It’s the offseason,” David said on NFL Network.

This is entirely possible, as players have messed with the fans and the media in the past by taking rumors and running with them, but there does appear to be some legitimacy to the possibility that Las Vegas could move on from Carr.

While head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock said last year that they were committed to Carr going forward, things could change.

The Raiders went 7-9 and missed the playoffs this past year, and with the club moving to Las Vegas next season, it may want to start fresh.

The Raiders are already essentially rebuilding as it is, so trading Carr and drafting a quarterback could make some sense.
