Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Cam Robinson is expected to begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Robinson tore his ACL this past season.

Robinson, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Jaguars in the second round (34th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He went on to start 15 games at left tackle during his rookie campaign and was very impressive, but he then proceeded to tear his ACL in Week 2 of the 2018 season, prematurely ending his year.

As a result, the Jaguars' offensive line suffered throughout the season, as Robinson's injury created a chasm along Jacksonville's offensive line that proved too significant to overcome.

The Jags ended up having a very disappointing 2018 campaign, winning just five games and missing the playoffs one year after winning 10 games, capturing the AFC South division title and making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.

Of course, Robinson's injury was far from the only issue the Jaguars faced in 2018, as Jacksonville was hit with a slew of problems, most of them coming on the offensive side of the ball.

The Jaguars have tried to rectify their offensive shortcomings this offseason by signing Nick Foles to replace the much-maligned Blake Bortles, whom the club proceeded to release just one year after signing him to a three-year contract extension.

However, Foles himself likely won't be able to solve all of Jacksonville's problems, as the Jags will need more production from their running backs and receivers and will need a more consistent effort from their offensive line in 2019.
