The Carolina Panthers have high hopes for a potential resurgence on offense in the 2019 NFL season. It seems wide receiver Curtis Samuel is doing what he can to ensure that he is a part of it.

Samuel has been turning heads at training camp this offseason. According to ESPN's David Newton, head coach Ron Rivera suggests he has seen some drastic improvement from the young wideout.

“And now he has taken an even bigger leap,” Rivera said. “It’s exciting to watch.”

Samuel added that his main focus is staying as healthy as possible.

“As long as I’m out there, I’m going to make things happen,” Samuel said. “The main thing with me is about staying healthy. If I can do that, best believe something is going to happen.”

Unlike previous years, Samuel has had the benefit of having a full offseason of work under him. His rookie year had been plagued by injury and the 2018 campaign got off to a slow start for him after missing the first three games due to a heart condition. Fortunately, he appears to be back and as healthy as ever.

Although the Panthers have high hopes for this receiving corps, it is still a group that is largely consisted of unproven names. As a result, they will need their young wideouts on the roster to step up and help add some firepower to Carolina's passing attack. Samuel's emergence could provide fans a sneak peek of what is to potentially come in the 2019 season.
