Although Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler may have a history with the New England Patriots, it is safe to say that there are no hard feelings on his end.

This week has served as a bit of a reunion of sorts with the Titans hosting the Patriots for a few joint practice sessions. According to Doug Kyed of NESN, Butler offered up some high praise for wide receiver Jakob Myers and Gunner Olszewski:

“They’re tough, especially that No. 9 and 16,” Butler said. “Those guys are tough. I don’t know their names, but I know their organization. They only want hard-working guys. Guys don’t give poor effort. And the expectation is real high, especially when you’ve got (Tom Brady) back there. I didn’t take any one of them for granted. I gave them everything I had.”

While Butler may not have been aware of their names, they managed to leave quite an impression on the former Patriot. He knows full well what it takes to be successful in New England after going from an undrafted free agent to a Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champ. He is hoping that Myers and Olszewski can find a way to do the same potentially.

This week has brought back memories of Butler's unceremonious departure from the Patriots after being benched in Super Bowl LII. The veteran has been open about the whole ordeal and has even offered up his own jokes about it.

New England's receiver corps is currently shorthanded with injuries to their top three wideouts. This could result in plenty of opportunities for Myers and Olszewski to establish a role for themselves this preseason.
