Joe Flacco isn't as giddy about the Baltimore Ravens as he once was.

A little less than a decade ago, he led them to a Super Bowl victory and was the game's MVP. Now, he's a backup to Lamar Jackson in the wake of the future franchise player's first playoff appearance.

Flacco has held the Ravens quarterback role without much competition for a majority of his career, so now that the team is likely moving forward without him, there are definitely going to be some mixed feelings.

From ESPN's Jamison Hensley:

“I don't know if it's going to be any more different or not,” Flacco said after Friday's practice. “It's definitely not the most fun position in the world. It is what it is.”

The Ravens will have a tough task on their hands this Sunday as they get set to face the Los Angeles Chargers, who are looking like one of the most dangerous teams heading into the NFL Playoffs at 12-4.

Jackson, who has started in seven games this year and has a current QBR of 48.7, will lead Baltimore's offense once again this week – and he will likely need to continue to make it happen with the ground game.

Flacco of all people also just wants to see him play to his strengths.

“I just remember when I was going into it, everybody talked about how much different these games were,” Flacco said. “The bottom line is they're all football games, and obviously there's going to be a little bit different intensity to it. But at some point, the game settles in and becomes a football game. That might happen the first series or it might take a little bit longer.”

Jackson has only passed for over 200 yards once this season, but has rushed for over 50 yards in the six other starts.

Needless to say, Joe Flacco has a pretty strong resume in the postseason, so nobody would rule out an early swap if there are a few scoreless drives from Jackson.
