Sunday night's game between the Baltimore Ravens and the NFC leaders Green Bay Packers turned into a matchup for the ages. Despite star quarterback Lamar Jackson still being out due to an ankle sprain, the team showed incredible fight, going toe-to-toe with the Packers. However, a failed two-point conversion for the Ravens at the end cost them the match.

Of course, there were some fans who disagreed with Ravens coach John Harbaugh's decision to go for two in this situation. However, tight end Mark Andrews defended the team's decision to go for the win instead of heading to overtime. (via Jamison Hensley)

“That was ‘the’ decision. Anyone who second-guesses that is wrong.”

This isn't the first time the Ravens lost due to failing to convert a game-winning two-point attempt this season. Earlier this year, Harbaugh called for the team to go for two while being down one against the Steelers. They failed, and subsequently lost the game. It's easy to understand why fans would be incensed at Harbaugh's play calling this season.

However, the Ravens likely had no other choice but to go for the win here. They had nearly thirty players out of the game due to COVID protocols or injuries, and they suffered two more injuries in the game. The Ravens were hanging by a thread against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. The way the Packers were playing in the game, there's no question they could've scored the game-winner in overtime.

That loss has to sting a lot, though. After leading their conference to start the season, the Ravens are now stuck in the logjam that is the middle of the AFC. A win here would've solidified their chances of advancing to the postseason.
