Emmanuel Sanders is impressing his new quarterback in his first season in New Orleans with the Saints. According to Drew Brees, who spoke with the media following Monday's practice, Sanders — an 11th-year veteran — is providing a valuable presence to his new team.

“He's a pro. I think that's what you recognize with, you know, these veteran receivers,” Brees told reporters. “I recognized it with Ted Ginn when he came in three years ago. There's just a veteran presence, a mature nature and just a way he goes about his work and his business, you know, his preparation, his attention to detail and just a lot of little things begin to pop up and you realize why he's been able to play at such a high level for so long.”

That veteran presence will help Brees immensely, adding another crucial piece to the offense as he and the Saints look to get to the Super Bowl after two straight seasons ending in overtime losses. On the other side of Sanders will be one of the best wide receivers in the league in Michael Thomas.

An argument could be made that Brees has the best wide receiver duo in the NFL this season. Those two, along with Alvin Kamara, will look to make an already dominant offense even better this year. Last season the Saints were ninth in the NFL in total offense.

Sanders' 869 receiving yards between the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers would definitely help the Saints if he can get similar production. With the offense as powerful and experienced as it is, the Saints look primed for a great 2020 season.
