The New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams in the NFL at the moment, which is terrifying enough for some teams. However, the team gets a massive buff to their defense as they welcome cornerback PJ Williams back into the fold.

Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams reports that the suspended corner was reinstated by the NFL after his two-game sanction. He explained that the defender was slapped with the two-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He was caught driving while intoxicated in January 2019. He pleaded guilty, and the case was reduced to reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

Williams is coming in at a perfect time for the Saints. They're heavy favorites to make the Super Bowl. Teddy Bridgewater put on a magnificent run that kept the team up in Drew Brees's absence. Brees was also impressive against the Cardinals in his first game back.

The Saints have been so impressive that Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury couldn't help but feel envious of the team.

“They have been doing it a long time,” Kingsbury acknowledged, when asked about the sustained success the Saints have had since Payton was hired, way back in 2006. Kingsbury gave New Orleans a lot of credit for building their team the right way. “They have drafted well defensively. (They) Have had a quarterback in the same system with the same head coach for a long time. It clicks. You didn’t see the ball touch the ground many times. (They have a) Great running game. They are a complete team. That is what we are trying to build.”

Williams' return should be a huge boost for the team's defense and cover up any lapses the secondary might have.
