With Tom Brady signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, fans of the NFL will get an opportunity to watch him face Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints twice a year. Besides Brady's stunning decision, Brees spoke about the increased competition in the NFC South ahead of the 2020 season.

“Yeah. Well, the division just got a little bit better, didn’t it? In addition to that, Teddy Bridgewater, who played so well for us, with the Saints last year when I got hurt, he’s now the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers,” Brees said on The Ellen Show on Wednesday, via ProFootballTalk. “Our division has Teddy Bridgewater, Tom Brady, Matt Ryan and myself with the Saints. It’s always been a very challenging division, and it just kicked up a notch.”

As Brees noted, the Carolina Panthers named Teddy Bridgewater as their franchise quarterback moving forward, signing the former Saints backup to a three-year, $63 million deal. Of course, the Atlanta Falcons still have Matt Ryan under center, as the former league MVP enters his 13th season in the NFL.

However, it goes without saying that the biggest move of the offseason was Tampa Bay signing Brady. The 42-year-old quarterback makes the Buccaneers a legitimate contender to win the NFC in 2020.

For the Saints and Brees, they've had a decent offseason themselves, signing veterans Emmanuel Sanders and Malcolm Jenkins. Similar to Brady, Brees is still capable of leading a team to a Super Bowl in the latter part of his career.

The Saints have been able to have their way in the NFC South, winning the division in the last three seasons. But with the new faces that joined the division this offseason, Brees realizes that it's going to be quite the test to secure the NFC South title next season.
