The Minnesota Vikings suffered quite a scare on Sunday after the Carolina Panthers erased an eight-point deficit to force overtime. Fortunately, Kirk Cousins and KJ Osborn made sure they won't collapse this time.

Cousins had a clear look at Osborn midway though overtime, and it was just the space he needed to launch what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown. Of course, th3 24-year-old wideout couldn't help but celebrate in style after the epic 27-yard TD from his QB.

The Vikings escaped with a 34-28 win after allowing the Panthers score 11-3 in the fourth quarter to extend the game.

It was undoubtedly a brilliant showing from Kirk Cousins, who also reached 30,000 career passing yards during the Week 6 contest. He finished with 373 yards on 33-of-48 pass completion for three touchdowns and no interception.

Sam Darnold, for his part, struggled mightily as he had only one touchdown on top of one interception on a horrendous 41.5 pass completion percentage for the Panthers. However, Carolina still did well to force overtime, giving the Vikings quite the shock when they came back in the closing period.

The win put the Vikings at 3-3 and still within contention in the NFC North, tied with the Chicago Bears and just behind the Green Bay Packers who are at 5-1.

The Vikings have to love the position they are in now, though, especially after starting the 2021 campaign 0-3. They have now won three straight games and are surely brimming confidence as they head to their bye week.
