The New York Giants will give Tommy DeVito another shot as starter. New York head coach Brian Daboll confirmed on Monday that the team will start DeVito in Week 14 versus the Green Bay Packers at home amid the looming comeback of veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor, who has been designated to return.

The Giants have up to 21 days starting from the day of Taylor's designation to activate Taylor. However, New York will continue riding with the QB who's helped them stitch together two wins in a row before entering a bye in Week 13. DeVito has started in each of the last three Giants games, including in their wins over the Washington Commanders (31-19) on the road in Week 11 and at home against the New England Patriots (10-7) in Week 12.

Although Taylor has more experience, Daboll appears to have more confidence at the moment in DeVito, who has passed for six touchdowns with just an interception in the last three New York outings. His best game thus far came during the win over the Commanders during which he went 18-for-26 for 246 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions.

The Giants remain long shots to make the NFL playoffs despite their recent success. Their room for error is miniscule with just five games left on their schedule in the regular season. After the Packers game, the Giants will take on the New Orleans Saints and the Philadelphia Eagles — both on the road — in Weeks 15 and 16, respectively.
