The fantasy football playoffs are here! If you are in the playoffs, it's more than likely you already contain top fantasy running backs. We focus on the ones who could potentially help your team that you didn't think could. It's time to continue our fantasy football series with a breakdown of the fantasy running back position.

There are a lot of good fantasy running backs who could make this list. It's difficult to find the hidden gems because there are a ton of high-valued fantasy running backs. Most of those names stay in your lineup throughout the season. Now that the fantasy football playoffs are here, let's take a look at the six players you should consider starting or sitting for Week 15.

Fantasy Football Week 15 Start ‘Em

Melvin Gordon – Denver Broncos

Right when all the signs showed his decline in fantasy value, Gordon goes off for 111 yards and two touchdowns against the Detroit Lions. Yes, it was the Lions, but he showed that he's capable of playing at an elite level once again. He faces the 22nd-ranked Cincinnati Bengals defense, which is a favorable matchup. The Bengals just gave up a ton of points to the San Francisco 49ers. If the Broncos continue to rely on their run game, Gordon should receive a lot more touches. Backup rookie Javonte Williams is playing well also, so it's really tough to tell who will get the majority of carries. Based on last week, Gordon is the better option for now and should be considered for your lineup.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire – Kansas City Chiefs

Edwards-Helaire is healthy and fresh off of a good game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He found the end zone twice, which was a really good sign for the Chiefs' offense. He faces a favorable matchup in the Los Angeles Chargers because they rank 28th against the run. They defend the pass better, so Edwards-Helaire could receive a good amount of carries. He plays on Thursday night, so it will have to be a quick decision.

Leonard Fournette – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Touchdown Lenny continues to shine. The only reason he is on this list is because he faces the top-ranked defense against the run. The New Orleans Saints do a fantastic job of containing just about every fantasy running back they face. I don't think that will stop Fournette, though. He is playing elite football and is unstoppable at the moment. If you had any doubts about starting him, I would smash those. Obviously, the offense runs through Tom Brady, but that isn't stopping Fournette from finding the end zone.

Fantasy Football Running Backs Sit ‘Em

James Robinson – Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags seem dead. Nothing is going right for that team right now. Head coach Urban Meyer is on the hot seat and seems to be taking his frustration out on Robinson. He is a talented running back who should have high value, but he isn't getting the touches. Robinson hasn't reached three fantasy points in his last two games or 20 since Week 5. He should be an easy sit unless you need to start him.

Joe Mixon – Cincinnati Bengals

Mixon is a tough sit for this week. His last two games didn't go well as he didn't reach 10 fantasy points in either. He faces a tough defense in Week 15 in the Denver Broncos. The Broncos rank eighth against the run and boast a defense as a whole that's playing really well. There are better options out there to consider starting unless you are relying on him for the fantasy playoffs. The Bengals are going to need to rely on their pass game if they want to beat the Broncos.

Josh Jacobs – Las Vegas Raiders

Jacobs is another fantasy running back who should sit in Week 15. He faces the 10th-ranked Cleveland Browns defense this week, and they're coming off a strong game. Jacobs carried the ball nine times for 24 yards against the Chiefs, which should be a sign to bench him this week. The Raiders aren't playing well and haven't shown that they can give Jacobs consistent carries, though this matchup should be monitored closely because of the Browns' COVID-19 outbreak.
