Favorites to win 2021 The Open Championship Odds

Jon Rahm (+800). Currently ranked No. 1 in the world, Rahm is hoping that he’s still got the momentum going for him this week. It could be remembered that the Spaniard is coming off a major win, as he emerged victorious at the 2021 US Open last month at Torrey Pines. That’s his only win so far this season, but he’s got a total of 11 top 10s in 18 starts. Rahm finished tied for 11th at Royal Portrush in 2019, his best performance in The Open Championship so far since he started partaking in this major in 2016.

Brooks Koepka (+1800). Speaking of momentum, Koepka is riding on one himself. After a T4 at Torrey Pines, he cracked the top five again with a T5 at the 2021 Travelers Championship. That’s now three top 5s in his last four starts and his seventh top 10 this season. The American also has a total of three top 10s on his The Open Championship resume, which includes his T4 at Royal Portrush in 2019.

Rory McIlroy (+1800). The Northern Irishman is on a mission to redeem himself from the opening-round debacle he had in 2019 at Royal Portrush. McIlroy scored a 79 in the first round of that edition of The Open Championship before coming out alive in the second with a 65. However, the effort was not enough for him to make the cut. Nevertheless, McIlroy has a solid track record in the tournament that he’s won before. He has five top 5s in The Open Championship and that includes his win in 2014 at Royal Liverpool.

Sleepers to win 2021 The Open Championship Odds

Lee Westwood (+5000). If an old guy is going to take home a Claret Jug this year, Westwood could be a tasty prospect for that. The 42-year-old Englishman has a couple of runner-ups this season and is 4 of 5 heading into Royal St. George’s Golf Course. One drawback, however, is the fact that he’s 0 of 2 at The Open Championship when it’s held at Royal St. George’s.

Rickie Fowler (+9000). At his current price, it’s not the worst of ideas if you would place a punt bet on the 32-year-old Fowler. He’s been impressive of late, having gone 3 of 4 with a pair of top 11s. In his last appearance at The Open Championship, he finished tied for sixth in 2019 at Royal Portrush. He has also missed the cut just once at The Open Championship in 10 career starts.

Final 2021 The Open Championship Prediction & Pick

It might sound too easy to pick the favorite, but it’s hard to deny that Jon Rahm is playing awesome golf right now. He’s always put himself in a great position this year, with just a single missed cut in 18 starts. Rahm will bring Spain a major title this year in the form of the Claret Jug.

FINAL 2021 THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTION: Jon Rahm +800.
