The Baltimore Ravens just barely missed out on the playoffs in 2021. They lost a few close games at the last second on controversial play calls, which was the difference. Baltimore will definitely be looking to make some quality additions this offseason. There are a ton of star players set to be free agents in 2022. Thus, the Ravens will have plenty of exciting options to explore this summer.

As they aim to win back the AFC North and make a deep postseason run in 2023, Baltimore will be seeking some major improvements on offense with a few value-added signings. Let's discuss three moves the Ravens must make during the 2022 NFL offseason.

3 Moves the Ravens Must Make This Offseason

Sign Cordarrelle Patterson

For the entirety of the 2021-22 season, Cordarrelle Patterson was a swiss army knife for the Atlanta Falcons. He set an NFL record for playing most positions listed on the depth chart. Whether he was the starting or back-up running back, receiver, kick returner, or fifth-string safety for the Falcons, Patterson's value was unmatched and he put his diverse skillset on full display. Considering all the issues that the Ravens had at the running back spot this past year, the addition of Patterson would be a breath of fresh air for them.

As a versatile utility player, Patterson would elevate their play out of the backfield and add an exciting new element to their up-tempo offense. Even at 30, Patterson is still able to perform at a high level and would form a lethal rushing attack with Lamar Jackson. If the Ravens want to improve their ground game with a multi-skilled Pro Bowler, then bringing in Patterson would be in their best interest.

Aim High: Davante Adams

Davante Adams been the one of the best receivers in football for a few years. He has always been a reliable deep threat in Green Bay's passing game. His clutch playmaking, speed, and elite route-running have all paid major dividends for the Pack over the past few seasons. With the strong chance of Aaron Rodgers seeking a trade this offseason and Adams entering NFL free agency in 2022, this may lead to Adams taking his talents elsewhere in the offseason.

On the Ravens, Adams would have another career year playing with an elite dual-threat quarterback in Lamar Jackson. Adams would be the perfect wideout to complement their existing talents on offense and give them another reliable superstar to count on in crunch time scenarios.

Bring In Chris Godwin

Chris Godwin is another top-tier receiver who's an impending free agent that could be looking for a change of scenery. With the Tampa Buccaneers fully invested in Mike Evans, this may not leave them much room to pay Chris Godwin the salary he's likely to demand this summer.

With a receiving corps of Marquise Brown, Sammy Watkins, Mark Andrews, and Rashad Bateman, Godwin would be joining an electric aerial assault and could be the star wideout this team needs to win back the AFC North and make a Super Bowl run in 2023. On the Ravens, Godwin would be able to get more touches and thrive in a fast-paced offense led by Action Jackson.

Chris Godwin will be coming off a torn ACL he suffered late in the season. That might allow the Ravens to acquire him for a bit cheaper than they normally would.

Admittedly, bringing in all three of these players seems highly unlikely. But even if they can land one of them, it would make a large difference to the Ravens offense.
