The Kansas City Chiefs are going into 2019 without Kareem Hunt in their backfield, and while they spent the last five games of 2018 plus the playoffs without him, that's different than a full season.

Enter Damien Williams, who rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 5.1 yards per carry in Hunt's stead this past year and had a very impressive Divisional Round playoff performance against the Indianapolis Colts in which he racked up 129 yards and a score.

But Williams has never been a featured back at any point of his career and has never even rushed for 300 yards in any single season, so this is uncharted territory for the 27-year-old.

Here are three numbers for Williams to target in 2019.

3. 800 Yards

It's probably asking too much for Williams to total 1,000 yards this year, even in the Chiefs' offensive system.

He has been in the NFL for five years and has accumulated just 733 yards in total, so jumping to 1,000 yards out of the blue would certainly been one heck of an achievement.

While it's possible, it's expecting too much to ask him to do it, so 800 yards seems like a more realistic goal.

Williams certainly showed some ability this past season, and thanks to a stout Chiefs offensive line, he should be able to at least be competent even if he isn't as good as Hunt.

As a matter of fact, a legitimate argument can be made that Williams needs to tally at least 800 yards for Kansas City's offense to properly function.

2. 50 Receptions

One thing that Williams has shown over the course of his career is that he can catch some passes.

He has logged at least 20 receptions in each of his first five seasons in the NFL, and it's important to keep in mind that he wasn't exactly getting a ton of playing time with the Miami Dolphins over his first four years in the league.

Hunt wasn't just special for his running ability; his pass-catching out of the backfield was also crucial and was a key part of the Chiefs' offense, so hopefully for Kansas City, Williams can somewhat replace that production.

Williams had quite a few solid games in terms of catching the football in 2018, logging four, six and seven receptions, respectively, in Weeks 14, 15 and 16. He also caught 10 passes in two playoff games, notching a couple of touchdowns to boot.

Tallying 50 receptions should not be out of the realm of possibility for Williams.

1. 4.5 Yards Per Carry

In five career NFL seasons, Williams has averaged four yards per carry on the dot, which isn't very good.

Now, in Williams' defense, the Dolphins' offense stunk during his time there, and it wasn't like he had much of an opportunity to get into a rhythm anyway. And in his first year with the Chiefs, he logged 5.1 yards per attempt, so the system seemed to clearly help him.

This time, Williams is going to be playing a full 16-game campaign as the starter, so he is going to get a wealth of carries. While he doesn't need to be Hunt, he at least needs to be efficient and make the most of those touches.

Averaging 4.5 yards per carry is definitely an attainable goal for Williams.
