Bengals-Chiefs Takeaways

4. Cincinnati is going to the Super Bowl

Cincinnati Bengals fans, it’s been a long time since you’ve heard these words, and it’s certainly something that no Bengals fan ever imagined would happen before this season. This organization has not had much success in the past, but none of that matters now because they are returning to the Super Bowl and have a chance to become the champions.

This is a great achievement for a smaller market team, and they must be really pleased of their young men. From a front-office standpoint, the Bengals did an excellent job of having some incredibly talented younger players, as well as some great veteran players who can make a difference not only on the field, but also in the locker room, by assisting the younger players and helping them reach their full potential.

3. Joe Burrow is a bad man

There’s not much else to say about Joe Burrow except that he’s a bad man. He’s only 25, but he’s already shown why he’ll not only be one of the top quarterbacks in the next few seasons, but also how he may be a generational talent.

He not only has the ability to throw the ball at a high level, but he also had some crazy scrambles against the Chiefs on Sunday that allowed him to get out of pressure and help his team secure first downs.

Joe Burrow is one of those players who every NFL fan adores because he goes out and plays the game the right way. He, like the rest of the squad, is constantly full of enthusiasm and fire, which is another reason for his success. He gave it everything he had in the second half to help the Bengals win the game.

Although Joe Burrow and the rest of the Bengals’ offense didn’t look fantastic in the first half, they were able to remain in the game by scoring 10 points. The defense let up 21 points, which will not be enough to stop Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs. If they keep allowing them to play offense as they did in the first half, Kansas City would of had an easy victory.

The defense really stepped up to help clutch out this win.

2. Defense did everything they can

Not only was the defense outstanding in the second half, but they also had some fantastic sacks on the game’s last drive, which helped send the game into overtime, when Burrow and the rest of the offense went to work.

1. The grit

The fortitude displayed by this club on Sunday exemplifies why they have had so much success this season. There were even instances throughout the regular season when they weren’t playing very well, but they bounced back the next week and demonstrated why they could be in the situation they are now. They continue to work tremendously hard on both sides of the field, and you can see they’re doing everything they can to go to the Super Bowl and delight their passionate fans who follow them everywhere they go.

Many teams would have given up after losing 21-3 to the Chiefs, but the Bengals did not. They walked back to the locker room to reorganize and recognize that they could still win this game, but it would require a lot of effort. The defense came out strong, putting pressure on Patrick Mahomes and doing all they could to bring him down in order to prevent giving up any more points, which was a huge reason why they won.

If the Bengals want to win the Super Bowl, they’ll have to keep playing with the grit, passion, and fire that they’ve shown throughout the season because it’s helped them get through some tough situations. They’re just one of those teams that you can never rule out because they play with a passion unlike anybody else in the league.

The Bengals will have to continue to keep being them. There is a reason why they have got to this position and they can’t change any of their gameplan or intensity now.
