The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to contract terms with first-round draft pick Mike McGlinchey’s rookie contract right in time for the start of training camp later in the week, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

McGlinchey, the No. 9 overall pick in this year’s draft out of Notre Dame, will earn $18.3 million over the course of his fully-guaranteed four-year deal along with an $11.4 million signing bonus.

McGlinchey, who was the top-rated offensive tackle in this year’s draft class, played left tackle in college but is expected to start right away at right tackle this season for the 49ers. San Francisco traded last season’s starting right tackle, Trent Brown, and a fifth-round pick to the New England Patriots for a third-rounder shortly after drafting the rookie.

However, the 49ers’ long-term plan is likely for McGlinchey to take over from long-time left tackle Joe Staley once the veteran begins to decline. Staley has already begun the process of mentoring his eventual successor this offseason.

With McGlinchey’s signing, only wide receiver Dante Pettis, the No. 44 overall selection, remains unsigned among the 49ers’ draft picks. Only seven rookies remain unsigned league-wide, five of which were drafted in the top 10: Baker Mayfield (1), Sam Darnold (3), Denzel Ward (4), Josh Allen (7) and Roquan Smith (8).
