With his dominant performance in the San Francisco 49ers' NFC Championship Game victory over the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday, 49ers running back Raheem Mostert became the first player in NFL history to total 200 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a playoff game, according to the NFL Research Department.

Mostert carried the ball 29 times for 220 yards and four scores in the 37-20 win, adding a couple of catches for six yards. The preceding week, Mostert tallied 58 yards off of 12 rushing attempts in a Divisional Round victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

During the regular season, Mostert registered 772 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging a hefty 5.6 yards per carry. In addition, he logged 14 catches for 180 yards and a couple of scores.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Purdue, went undrafted in 2015 and bounced around between the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears before finally joining San Francisco's practice squad in November 2016.

In spite of all of his stops, Mostert had amassed a grand total of one carry before arriving in the Bay. He then played in 11 games in 2017, toting the ball six times for 30 yards. His role then grew in 2018, as he posted 261 yards and a touchdown while averaging an impressive 7.7 yards per attempt.

Finally, Mostert got his chance to break out in 2019.

The Niners went 13-3 and captured the NFC West division title this season. They will take on the Kansas City Chiefs for all of the marbles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
