Jimmy Garoppolo's future in San Francisco has been a major question mark for the organization throughout the year, but if it were up to Teddy Bruschi, there's not really a difficult decision to be made. Speaking via NFL on ESPN, Bruschi offered a brutally honest take on what the 49ers can achieve with Garoppolo at the helm.

In the eyes of Bruschi, the 49ers have a roster capable of competing for a Super Bowl. The only thing holding them back, according to Bruschi, is Garoppolo. While ripping into the recent play of the 28-year-old, Bruschi said it was easy to see why the Niners traded a bevy of first-round draft picks to acquire Trey Lance.

“I just see an error repeator. Over the years, seeing Jimmy [Garoppolo] do the same thing over and over again… I mean this is basic football,” Bruschi said of Garoppolo's recent errors.

His scathing review of Garoppolo's ability to carry this Niners team comes on the heels of a two-interception performance against the Seattle Seahawks. Over his past two games, Garoppolo has three touchdowns and three interceptions, and Bruschi isn't impressed with what he's seen out of the Niners' starting QB.

With Lance waiting in the wings, it's easy to see that Bruschi is ready for the third overall pick out of North Dakota State to get some more run in Shanahan's offense. The Niners are 6-6 on the season, and Bruschi feels they could be more than a middling team if they made the change under center.
