Earlier this offseason, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan hinted that the club could look to move wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, and it looks like the 49ers are heading in that direction.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, San Francisco is discussing Goodwin in trade talks with other teams. Rapoport notes that Goodwin is due in the neighborhood of $10 million over the next two years.

Goodwin's 2019 campaign was derailed by injuries, as he played in just nine games and logged a mere 12 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Texas, was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round (78th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He appeared in 12 contests during his rookie year, finishing with 17 grabs for 283 yards and three scores. Goodwin then participated in only 12 games combined between 2014 and 2015 before finally seeing his role grow a bit in 2015, when he took the field 15 times and caught 29 passes for 431 yards and three touchdowns.

That ensuing offseason, Goodwin signed a three-year deal with the Niners, and in his first season in the Bay, he had a great deal of success, hauling in 56 receptions for 962 yards while reaching the end zone a couple of times.

Since then, however, Goodwin's production has dipped, as he snared 23 balls for 395 yards and four touchdowns in 2018 before his injury-plagued 2019 campaign.

The 49ers won 13 games and made it all the way to the Super Bowl this past season, but ultimately fell to the Kansas City Chiefs.
