The Forbidden Door is opening once again. After years of one-offs and short stints of visiting wrestlers, AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling will have their joint, very appropriately-named June Pay-Per-View in Chicago.

Despite a string of injuries on AEW's side of the card, this event should have plenty of dream matches and opportunities to showcase New Japan talent on AEW programming. Just in the last few weeks, Tony Khan has brought in Hiroshi Tanahashi, members of CHAOS, members of the United Empire, and, of course, the Bullet Club.

It should come as no surprise that members of Bullet Club have made plenty of appearances in AEW in the promotion's three years of activity before Forbidden Door. The faction exploded in popularity in the US over the last decade – largely because of a certain group of Elite EVPs – and to this day, it's hard to comb the crowd of a wrestling show without seeing at least one of their iconic shirts. But while AEW has seen stars like Jay White, Hikuleo, and even The Good Brothers at one point flood the screen with “Too Sweet's,” there's are still plenty of members of the club who have yet to make their presence known in Khan's promotion, with Forbidden Door serving as an excellent venue to show them off.

Bullet Club members who could make their debut at AEW x NJPW's Forbidden Door

4. Taiji Ishimor

Taiji Ishimori may not be the first name people think of when it comes to Bullet Club, but plenty of AEW wrestlers know and have experienced his combination of impressive high-flying speed and solid technique. In his career, both as a singles wrestler and in various tag teams, he's faced off against The Young Bucks, Bryan Danielson, Matt Sydal, and more and become a fixture of the promotion.

While he's most known for his time in Pro Wrestling NOAH, Ishimori joined Bullet Club in 2018 as the latest “Bone Soldier” and has made plenty of waves ever since, including in his current run as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. While he has his work cut out for him against Battle of the Super Juniors winner Hiromu Takahashi when the duo eventually face off, any chance to showcase his style to the AEW audience would be a worthwhile endeavor, especially considering Khan's clear love of showing championship on Pay-Per-Views.

3. El Phantasmo.

El Phantasmo is another member of Bullet Club who could parlay his popularity and unique style into a spot on Forbidden Door.

Since making his way back to the states during the Pandemic, ELP has made a name for himself thanks to appearances on New Japan Strong and Impact, as well as in indie appearances for PWX, NEW, and DEFY. He's wrestled former AEW star Lio Rush multiple times, future AEW star Nick Wayne in Portland, and current AEW star Wheeler Yuta – most notably in the Battle of the Super Juniors, where ELP was victorious.

ELP is a reliable Junior Heavyweight wrestling heel character perfectly suited for Bullet Club, and it would be cool to see his LED-laden entrance on such a large stage, or even just his Kanye West-inspired sunglasses gracing the side of the ring as a performer like Jay White takes care of business inside the squared circle.

2. Chris Bey

While the co-promotional pairing of AEW and New Japan is currently the talk of the wrestling world, don't forget that New Japan, and specifically Bullet Club, has been working on Impact for a while now., and one of the biggest beneficiaries of the partnership has been none other than “The Ultimate Finesser,” Chris Bey.

Bey has always brought a great energy to his matches, with a smoothness, swagger, and technical mastery that is well-deserving of his nickname. All that, combined with his natural charisma, has made him a fixture of the X-Division since joining the promotion back in 2018.

After the culmination of his run as X-Division Champion, Jay White specifically recruited Bey into the faction, and after a brief courtship, he agreed and officially became a member in June of 2022. He has since teamed with White regularly while also putting on great matches in New Japan and on the indies. Could Forbidden Door be the next stage Bey graces?

1. Ace Austin

The most recent addition to Bullet Club just so happens to also be one of the most exciting.

After earning a respectable 10 points in the Battle of the Super Juniors, enough to get third ranking in the A Block, and dazzling New Japan audiences with his Gambit-inspired gimmick, Ace Austin has officially joined his fellow X Division wrestler Bey in Bullet Club.

Like Bey, Austin is also a must-watch high flyer with a massive personality who has elevated Impact Wrestling's X-Division to must-what television, especially during his current run as its champion.

Hailing from Redding, Pennsylvania, and billed out of Atlantic City, Austin starting out in CZW and participating in plenty of promotions around the Northeastern indie scene, and has interacted with more than a few familiar names from the AEW roster. His match history features bouts against the likes of MJF, Max Caster, Bear Bronson, Kris Statlander, and Wheeler Yuta, who he wrestled one-on-one in the Battle of the Super Juniors. It would be wise for everyone involved to continue to ride the wave of buzz with Bullet Club's newest member and debut him in some fashion during an event as large as Forbidden Door, assuming Impact Wrestling wants to walk through the Forbidden Door as well.
