After literal days of anticipation, Will Ospreay and his United Empire stablemates, Aussie Open, officially made their debut in a fully sanctioned wrestling match on AEW television.

That's right, after charging the ring to attack the unlikely trio of Trent Beretta and FTR on Wednesday's edition of Dynamite, Rampage viewers were treated to an awesome television main event where one-half of Best Friends and the reigning ROH World Tag Team Champions took care of business and actually scored the pinfall victory over one of the top factions in all of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Remember how some questioned the decision to roll with an Ospreay versus Trent Beretta as a potential Forbidden Door match? Well, if Tony Khan keeps booking the under-contract half of Roppongi Vice like he did in the Rampage main event, such a match might actually be one of the sleeper bouts on what should be an incredibly loaded card.

Taking part in a match that was borderline designed to make Ospreay look like a superstar's superstar, the current Warrior Wrestling champion executed the greatest hits of his wrestling catalog, with some heavy chops, acrobatic maneuvers, and a flying crossbody to wipe out FTR outside of the ring.

If you didn't know Ospreay before today, you certainly got a very good introductory course to what he brings to the table and what he could theoretically do in a big-time match in the upper-midcard of Forbidden Door. And as for Aussie Open? Well, if it wasn't totally obvious by the leadup to this match, they appear destined to face off against FTR at least one more time before the end of the month; I'm sure you can guess where.
