The newly launched Dark Depths Event in Apex Legends is now live up until February 1, 2022. As usual, there will be free rewards to collect and tons of themed content such as cosmetics added to the game. Not to mention, a brand new Arenas map is also available for players to battle in the new update. Here’s everything you need to know about the Dark Depths Event. 

Three Free Reward Tracks

Dark Depths Event is kicking it up a notch with the free reward tracks. In previous events, Respawn usually just gives out one reward track good for the entire event. This time around there will be three reward tracks for players to grind throughout the course of Dark Depths. Each reward track will require players to accumulate 3000 points to complete each track. However, players need to constantly be online if they want to complete all three reward tracks. This is due to the reason that each reward track will have specific dates for players to obtain these rewards. Here are the dates for each reward track:

  • Week 1: Jan. 11 – 18
  • Week 2: Jan. 18 – 25
  • Week 3: Jan. 15 – Feb. 1

Apex Legends Dark Depths Cosmetic Collection

Just like previous events, the Dark Depths event will be introducing 40 new cosmetics. These cosmetics are ranging from new legendary skins, weapon charms, and banner frames. There are a couple of ways to obtain these cosmetics, either craft them or purchase the themed Apex Packs. Keep in mind that if you plan on crafting these items, they will cost double the standard crafting price. Also, if you wish to purchase the Apex Packs, they will cost around 400 Apex Coins each. 

Brand New Arenas Map (Habitat)

Honestly, we can consider the brand new Arenas map as the biggest addition in the Dark Depths Event. Habitat is in the same area as Storm Point which is why they both have the island vibe. Habitat looks to be a fast-paced type of map thanks to several ziplines and slopes scattered within the area. Better start working on those reflexes because enemies are surely going to be all over the place. 

Dark Depths seems to be the most exciting event to come out in Apex Legends so far. With three rewards tracks and a new Arenas map to look forward to, Apex is fully loaded with new content. Dark Depths Event is live now up until February 1, 2022.
