It's been quite the last couple of days for Barcelona. Club legend Lionel Messi has abruptly left the club after 17 seasons due to financial issues and now, the La Liga giants will be without another key figure for the next two months. Barca announced on Monday that summer signing Sergio Aguero will be sidelined for the foreseeable future after suffering a calf injury.

Aguero joined the Catalan club on a free transfer in late May after an illustrious career at Manchester City where he became the all-time leading scorer at the Etihad. Part of the reason the Argentine even came to Barca was because of his close friendship with Messi, who he's played with on the Argentina National Team for years. Unfortunately, the duo won't be playing with each other at club level.

Barca beat Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus 3-0 in the Gamper Trophy Game on Sunday as they prepare for their La Liga opener this weekend against a tough Real Sociedad side.

The attack is starting to look thin with no Messi and Aguero, while Ousmane Dembele is also out until the new year with an injury of his own. Memphis Depay and Antoine Greizmann will be relied upon to muster up some brilliance for Barca as the post-Messi era begins .
