Mitchell Trubisky is the beacon of light for the fans of the Chicago Bears. The second overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft has played worthy of the high pick the Bears placed on him.

In fact, plenty of broadcasters weren't shy to heap praise towards the former North Carolina quarterback. Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times collated what analysts have said about the 25-year-old.

‘‘It all of a sudden makes sense,’’ said [ESPN's Dan] Orlovsky, a former NFL quarterback. ‘‘You all of a sudden have that moment of clarity. I think you saw that with Mitch last year.’’

‘‘In Year 1, you’re worried about progressions and getting all the words right,’’ said [CBS Sports' Trent] Green, who calls Chiefs preseason games and knows Nagy from when he was an assistant with them. ‘‘In Year 2, it all slows down. Eventually a play comes in, and you just visualize it: ‘This is where I’m looking and going with the football.’ ’’

‘‘He’s an accurate thrower, much more than anyone gives him credit for,’’ [FOX's Charles] Davis said. ‘‘But he’ll have to improve some of that. Part of that accuracy, frankly, is understanding that you don’t force balls downfield when it’s not there.’’

It makes sense that these analysts are reaping praise for him if we look at the stat sheet.

He made 5,416 passing yards and completed 485 attempts in only two years of football. What's more impressive about this stat is that he achieved these numbers despite missing six games. His completing rate also took a big jump from 2017 to 2018 by 7.2% (59.4% to 66.6%). His QB rating in 2018 was at an incredible 95.4, directly correlating him to the Bears' 12-4 finish last season.

We can expect more of the same from Trubisky as he begins his quest for a Super Bowl in earnest.
