The Chicago Bears quarterback situation remains shaky. Leaning into Justin Fields is the right choice to make, even after his poor rookie campaign. They also signed New Orleans Saints QB Trevor Siemian to be their backup. With those two ready to take the top spots on the depth chart, Chicago will reportedly look to move on from one of their veterans.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Bears are now looking to trade Nick Foles. After trading a fourth-round pick to get him in 2020, he is seemingly on his way out just two seasons later.

Foles started 10 games across the previous two seasons for the Bears. He threw for 2,102 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 65.1 percent of his passes. At 33 years old, he could still find a role as a backup elsewhere.

Although Foles may not have much value, the Bears should look to add draft capital for this year's draft. They have just three picks in the top 100 and would benefit from a few more selections, though they will likely all come in the late rounds.

The Bears are leaning heavily into a rebuild after trading Khalil Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers and losing Allen Robinson in free agency. They will have to find more promising pieces to surround Field with. The potential is there but he still has a lot of work to do. Chicago has plenty of work, too, as their roster is unimpressive.
