Chicago Bears coach John Fox is has been under constant scrutiny lately. Despite playing with a rookie gunslinger, he has found his rear firmly implanted on one of the hottest seats in the entire National Football League.

What does the Fox say?

OK. Well, the animal the fox says that. As for John Fox:

“Frankly, I don’t give a rip,” Fox said, via Adam Hoge of WGN.

That's a semi-weird feeling to have given that the idea here is about a man potentially losing his job.

For the sake of relative fairness, I get being annoyed by constant questions concerning his job security, but whenever someone pretends they give zero poops about it, my inclination is that they are lying. After all, if people were asking me about my job security all the time, I wouldn't be as mad about that as I would be too worried about my gosh slam job.

Nevertheless, John Fox has been in the National Football League for a long time. He knows the deal. Whenever a team under performs, people begin looking for fall guys. The easiest fall guy to be found when a team is young at the most important position is the head coach.

Only time will tell if Fox is actually booted at the end of the season. While he makes for an easy fall guy, he isn't totally at fault for whatever issues the Bears faced this season. It's really, really hard to win with a rookie quarterback.

Now, my friends, go listen to that song.
